Personal account. Unions are good. Climate change is bad but we can fix it.

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

I have no idea what an azolla is but Chris is right on all of the other points. There should be a civil works program in every state dedicated to retrofitting existing buildings for energy efficiency and if you work for 2 years as an apprentice doing this you go to a state school for free
We gotta figure out climate change. Not a scientist but my answers are “something with azollas” “something with mushrooms(?)” or “something with algae”. Also they should hand out free apartment solar panels at your post office.

I don’t know a lot about running oil companies but I feel extremely certain they aren’t chomping at the bit to spend billions to maybe make millions…
Trump: "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country. And we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so."

Hey @fetterman.senate.gov see how easy that is?
We cannot let this president drag us into more endless wars that risk the lives of American service members and civilians abroad.

The attack last night on Venezuela was unnecessary and unauthorized. The President’s actions are reckless and illegal.

Perhaps we should have prosecuted the last administration that did an illegal war. Much to consider.

One of your New Year’s resolutions should be to subscribe to RE:Public, from former Outside magazine editor Chris Keyes and others, about what is going on with our public lands (and these lands belong to all Americans)

The Last Refuge
The year 2025 was a consequential one for America's public lands. Trying to catalog every threat that emerged in the last 12 months—from plans to sell off millions of acres, to the rapid expansion of ...

The problem with Blusky is there's a tendency for scolds. The problem with Twitter is that it is Stormfront.

Just so everyone is aware you will be asked to leave Giant Eagle the third time you do this
my new year's resolution for 2026 is to pay for something by placing a briefcase on the table, clicking it open, and silently spinning it around to reveal stacks of neatly wrapped bills

the 2000s and 2010s were full of people in the entertainment world being rightly fired for saying things that pale in comparison to what comes from prominent Republicans today and the main difference is that major national news media have accepted "Republicans are racist" as no longer newsworthy
the racism coming from the entire conservative movement targeting the somali community is so goddam disgusting and its just being completely ignored
