The American society loathes women and loathes their contributions to society.

So they divert our resources to power, capital, and war.

Instead of healthcare, childcare, and education.

They believe helping people is socialism.

When really, helping people is feminine. THAT'S why they hate it.

I'm one of the four fired employees. I was a writer & producer at Bon Appétit for nearly five years, during which I helped organize our union and sat on our bargaining committee.

I am, to my knowledge, the only trans woman in our union and the only trans woman on editorial who doesn't work at Them
New: Conde Nast fired four employees who were among a group that confronted the company's head of human resources on Wednesday over the decision to fold Teen Vogue into Vogue/recent cuts. Employees who were fired included journalists from the New Yorker, Wired, and Bon Appétit.

Bjorn Andresen, a Swedish actor who as a teenager played an ailing composer’s object of unrequited desire in the 1971 film “Death in Venice,” but who resented being objectified by the film’s director who called him “the most beautiful boy in the world,” has died at 70.

Good times at the library. I now have a Sonny Rollins biography that will probably take me until Christmas to read.

Even if you’re not a cartoon nerd like me, Krazy: George Harriman, a Life in Black and White by @tisserand.bsky.social is a fantastic read.
George Herriman is arguably one of the first major black artists in comics.

And the only reason for that is because NO ONE KNEW HE WAS BLACK.

He was light skinned enough to be white passing & hid that fact into old age so that he WOULD be able to continue drawing largely due to rampant racism.

Last week, a white racist man was killed in front of his white racist ilk by a white man raised in a white racist family.

Now, Black, Latine, queer, trans, disabled, and migrant people are being doxxed, harassed, threatened, and fired.

Never doubt that this is a white supremacist country again.
