Brexit killed the UK.

Until they confront this truly and ACT... nothing they do economically is credible

If only we’d known. Seen the tell tale signs. How they’d gained their power in the party. Seen the people they’d destroyed. The pleasure they took in it.
Deeply unprincipled and unserious liars. Media pals all in.
It was all there. And dismissed. And now you are disappointed.
And deservedly so.

Good news from ECOFIN today!

EU Finance Ministers have agreed to our proposal to remove the customs exemption for low-value parcels coming into the EU.

From now on, all parcels will go through standard customs procedures.

On giving UK access to EUs SAFE instrument, which its arms industry will benefit immensely from, its of cause fair that the UK also pay in to get the benefits. That is how things works.
But #cakeism still hunts No 10 & Westminster.
TLDR:
”There is no real animosity towards the UK.”

Not yet. But there will be if London continues with its Cakeism policy.

Of course, we all remember that period when Bundeskanzler Adenauer said of the allies "They need us more than we need them" and said that Germany should only pay half of France's contribution to the Coal and Steel Community, because it is "exceptional"

Unglaublich.

Keir Starmer is the finest fifth columnist England has seen in centuries.
STARMER ON THE BRINK

Sir Keir Starmer is a Tory cuckoo in a Labour nest.

Spent half his parliamentary time completing Tory legislation!
Voters voted for change, and there has been none.

Add in the abusive Online Safety Act & unwanted Digital I.D....

The UK will need some kind of consensus for sure.

The UK also needs to become a modern day democracy.

We can’t have an extremely close relationship (SM) with a country where 30% of the votes can result in almost absolute power and where one parliament can’t bind the next.

Why make a deal, …

This is interesting
It has long been assumed that the Northern Isles were ethnically cleansed of the native Picts after the viking occupation in the late 8th century. Now doubt is cast on that conclusion.
Just as the Western Isles were a hybrid Gaelic/Norse mix, the Northern Isles seem to have been a Pictish/Norse mix.
Who were the Picts? Were they wiped out by the Vikings? New research in Antiquity paints a more complex picture.
