Making someone do ALL of the new hire paperwork before their first day is rude. I get it, okay. You want them to “hit the ground running” day one. But you’re also making them do possibly several hours of work for free. And they might need this time to prep! Start dates are chosen for a reason.

Extra hilarious because i specifically use video games to get away from other people’s “fantasies of dominance and violence” in real life. It’s dark and awful out there, it’s cerebral and cozy in here.
Playing video games is not cool and it was a mistake to elevate this anti-social pastime that mostly involves engaging in solitary fantasies of domination and violence into a respectable hobby.
