One of the most depressing things about trying to sound the alarm on the "Gender Critical" movement back when it was gaining traction, was that one of the main transphobic activists of the 2010s was a woman who had groomed a minor under her care, and everyone just stuffed their fingers in their ears

Sal and J.M.'s run on Spectacular Spider-Man, which was on the racks when I was a kid, is one of my all time touchstones for great superhero comics. The art was so crisp and economical and just exploded off the pages. Happy birthday, Sal Buscema!
Sal Buscema turns 90 today. There's hardly a Marvel character Sal hasn't left his mark on, from Cap to the Hulk, Avengers to Thor. Working with Sal for two years on Spectacular Spider-Man remains a highlight of my career. And the best part? He's not just a great artist, he's a truly good guy.
