I'm inching ever closer with Episode 8 of Your Time Starts Now - the draft is done & editing is happening. Apologies for the long delay, but it is in the pipeline!

For #OFMD #WIPWednesday, some disconnected excerpts from the second location task of the episode.
Izzy eventually walked through plastic sheeting hanging in a doorway and greeted the contestants as they entered the same room. Each of the cast members was wearing a helmet with a different-coloured bobble hand stretched over it, and a go pro hanging in front of their face. Izzy handed each of them a task envelope before taking out a large bell from his pocket and ringing it. Take a bite out of Izzy's carrot. Izzy will ring his bell every ten seconds. You must laugh constantly throughout. You must both only walk at a gentle pace. Fastest wins. Stede read out the first sentence of the task and broke off to ask, "Izzy's carrot'? Is that a euphemism, or is that an actual carrot?" Of course he'd fucking ask that. The complete loon. That question was answered with a shot of Izzy walking away from the room, a carrot hanging from a piece of string down his back. This was intercut with shots of each of the cast members demonstrating their laugh, from Ivan's very flat 'ha-ha' to Archie's raucous giggles. The clip ended with various go pro shots of corridors, the mix of laughs echoing over the top. Now that the Izzy doppelganger had been revealed, there were a series of shots of Izzy and Not!Izzy passing each other and swapping off the different bells. These were intercut with Archie and Ivan spotting one of the Izzies and having to decide if it was really Izzy or the doppelganger, and some overhead time lapse shots of the two of them following both Izzy and Not!Izzy. Finally, however, the both of them sighted the real Izzy and managed to catch up with him and take a triumphant bite of his carrot, though Ivan cautiously checked in as to whether it was actually Izzy immediately after doing so. Archie, on the other hand, swooped in on the carrot without checking in on the identity of the person it was hanging off. Luckily for her, it was Izzy. She let out a whooped "Yay!" as she chomped on the carrot, before asking Izzy, who was now facing her, "Where are we?" Izzy answered, "We're in a scare maze. And I know the way out. So I'll see you outside." He then turned on his heel and walked away without a backwards glance. The clip ended with Archie flinging up her hands at his retreating back and yelling, "Bloody hell, Izzy!" "Okay, bellened with a bell who won't stop ringing it, where to next?" "Just two people to go, Taskmaster. It's Stede Bonnet and Oluwande Boodhari." The clip opened with Stede, in his full white outfit - how the hell had he kept it so clean over the location tasks, and especially in this purposely dirty location? - stepping lightly through the maze. He'd been given a red bobble hat over his helmet, and Ed could only imagine the fuss he would have made about the helmet and the absolute flattened mess it likely made of his curls. His laugh was in complete contrast to the way he was almost skipping through the corridors and rooms, low and wicked and made far creepier by the disparity. The clip switched over to Oluwande and the man was moving through the maze at something more than what Ed would term a 'moderate' pace - but then again, that was subjective, probably. Some people were fast walkers, which Oluwande seemed to be, and others (like Jim, surprisingly) were more likely to stroll. Stede and his panoply of laughs kept having near-misses with Izzy, until he finally spotted Izzy and Not!Izzy doing a bell hand-off, and took off after Izzy. Izzy attempted to evade him by turning many corners one after another, but Stede was soon right behind him, close enough to reach out and grab the carrot. Izzy came to a halt, his back to Stede, while Stede giggled happily and then took a bite from the carrot. Izzy turned to face Stede, who, still crunching away on his bite of carrot, gestured at Izzy to turn around again. Izzy shrugged and turned his back on Stede, who took another bite of the carrot before sighing happily. His eyes fluttered shut as he savoured the carrot, before murmuring, "Oh yeah. That's the good stuff." Fucking weirdo. He was so fucking weird and Ed was so incredibly into it.
