Quite simply, the US is Russia’s greatest ally. US foreign policy would also like to make Russia the US’ greatest ally.
There is a violent police force roaming the country demanding papers, and shipping those without to concentration camps. The president is a pedophile, robbing the country blind while arresting his enemies. Troops are murdering people in foreign waters, calling for war. But sure, Tom, USA is A-OK!

I don't understand why people have to concoct wild conspiracy theories in order to critique the NYT. I say this as someone who writes for them: there is plenty to critique without making up wild scenarios and insisting they're true!

Efficiencies mean cutting transit and charging more for worse service. Thankfully poor people don’t rely on transit.
I will never give up on finding efficiencies at city hall and getting Ottawa's fair share from other levels of government. I'm fighting to keep taxes as low as possible so you have more money to spend on your family's basic needs.

Some city councillors are calling for higher tax increases, but in a time of rising food and housing costs, we can't afford to add to the burden of renters, homeowners, and small businesses.
