The official position of the White House is that on January 6, "it was the Democrats who staged the real insurrection by certifying a fraud-ridden election."

Hey @axios.com - it’s sorta weird you have no mention of the January 6 anniversary on your website. Why the whitewashing?

Actually I’d say, “that sucks but it sounds very much on brand for our country.”
On Jan. 6th 2021, if you told anyone Trump would not only evade accountability, but 5 years later he’d be president again, pardon all the rioters—hire some as secret police—tank the economy while enriching himself, and invade other countries to avoid releasing the Epstein Files, you’d be committed.

Happy coup-niversary

After headlines of “democracy attacked” it’s embarrassing how, five years later, corporate media continues to carry water for those who assaulted our way of life.

The failure of our elites to hold Trump accountable for January 6th is as disgraceful as what happened on that awful day.

Since 2010, 35 democratic leaders around the world have been criminally convicted. Only Trump went unpunished and unconstrained.

Now he threatens democracy at home and abroad.

WTF is this headline. The "political opposition stirred up by President Trump" included sharing a social media post claiming Walz killed Mark and Melissa Hortman.

Do better, NPR.

For some reason I'm less bothered by Qaron's success in Pittsburgh vs had it come with the Jets.

Notice how all the reporters with access to Trump don’t bother confronting him about his vile post about Melissa and Mark Hortman? It’s sanewashing on steroids.
A must-read message from Colin and Sophie Hortman, Mark and Melissa's children:

Replace Maduro with Saddam Hussein and you quickly remember how Dana Bash, CNN and the rest of the media cheered the War in Iraq. Time is truly a flat circle.
BASH: There's no question that Maduro was a destabilizing force in the region. People are celebrating in the streets all over. Is it fair to say there's some benefit in him not being in power?

CHRIS MURPHY: What changes? You just heard Sen. Cotton not be able to explain who's running the country
