It was a pleasure to welcome artists Chang Shi and Chang Yi to City Hall and to thank them for presenting me with a miniature version of their Chinese Railway Workers Memorial Sculpture which can be found in the heart of Chinatown.

Some city councillors are calling for higher tax increases, but in a time of rising food and housing costs, we can't afford to add to the burden of renters, homeowners, and small businesses.

It was wonderful to kick off the holiday season at the Glen Cairn community’s 11th annual Christmas Tree Lighting - the first tree lighting of the season! This event is such a special tradition, bringing neighbours together to celebrate with warm hot chocolate and homemade cookies.

So grateful to be able to spend a bit of time with our firefighters at their Remembrance Day breakfast before they head out to ceremonies across the city to honour and remember those who have served our community.

It was a real honour to welcome Atlético Ottawa to City Hall to celebrate their first North Star Cup championship. What a game played with heart, grit, and teamwork, in the snow no less! Congratulations to the players, coaches, staff, and fans. Ottawa is so proud of the team!
