The Rideau Canal Skateway is fully open, all 7.8 kilometres of it. Being able to skate through the heart of our city is a big part of what makes winter in Ottawa special. Bundle up, skate safe, and make the most of it while conditions are great.

As 2026 begins, it's time to start celebrating Ottawa's 200th birthday. It's great to start the year with a fireworks show with Councillors Tim Tierney, Laura Dudas, Matt Luloff, MP Mona Fortier, and the many residents of Beacon Hill-Cyrville.
