No one gave a shit if a gay man was lonely navigating a homophobic society. No one gave a shit if a woman was lonely in an abusive marriage. No one ever gave a shit if the Black kid in a white school was lonely.

But we all need to care about straight white men being lonely.

Miss me with this bs.

Oh, and it's hurricane preparedness week, btw.

Even in news articles debunking the claim that Trump's tariffs are "reciprocal," I'm seeing some writers reflexively use his language about "the tariff rates that other countries charge us." Other countries do not "charge us" tariffs. They tax their own citizens, and we tax ours.

The pages, most of which are managed by people overseas, have a total of more than 7.7M followers.

Trump wanted to treat Gavin Newsom the same way as Zelensky when he flew out there. But Gavin met him on the tarmac and bodied him. And that was that. Because face to face, man to man, no bros around to back him up, Trump is the biggest coward on earth.

Donald Trump disparaged the military constantly in private as his highest advisors confirmed on the record.

But he lied a lot to win millions of votes from the military and veterans.

And now the Finding Out is going to be horrific.

It is shocking (not shocking, actually) how many conservative acquaintances of mine are clutching their pearls over this.

Like, the government will literally hunt you down if you miss an IRS payment but they expect us to believe the government is giving millions of dead people free money?

FFS.
Elon Musk is an idiot on an almost inconceivable scale. He had his high-school toadies pull a random list from a database he doesn’t understand, and on that basis alone decided that 60 MILLION SOCIAL SECURITY ENROLLEES, out of 72 million total, are fraudulent. 83% fraudulent!

Elected Dems want an alternate media ecosystem. OK, my question to each of you is - How many podcast interviews did you do in the last 30 days with people who weren’t also network TV hosts? If you answered less than 5, then my friends, you are exactly part of the problem.

38 Republicans voted with Democrats tonight, but that is somehow our fault.

Right-wing Republicans joined with Democrats.

That means your bill sucked.

And you excluded Dems from negotiations.

But the Party of Personal Responsibility NEVER takes personal responsibility. EVER.

The Economist ran this story this week. Yes...they are coming for veterans benefits. No one voted to destroy the VA or the benefits that our 15 million living veterans receive. Just 6% of Americans have served and these fuckers are coming for our hard earned benefits.

I suspect that Joe and Mika’s bosses pushed for it. MSNBC’s ownership has always had a soft underbelly when it comes to standing up for this country.

In the 90s, they were rampantly anti-Clinton.

By January there will be over 1.5 million people with some form of executive permission to live and work in the US legally, whether it be DACA or Temporary Protected Status. Most have been here for 15-20 years or more.

There will be economic shocks from stripping them of status and work permits.
