No matter what you eat for the holidays, please never:

- comment on how much someone is eating
- comment on how little someone is eating
- comment on someone eating

This can be a major trigger for people with eating disorders. Plus it’s none of your business. Thanks!

sometimes it's nice to just scroll those sites and revel in not fucking worrying about getting duped

If any company starts mentioning they're "not Enron" should make you wonder if they've been cooking their books like Enron did.

She actually complained to the manager who said that central office has demanded they play this music and they can't turn it off. She asked him "have other people complained" and he looked sheepish and said "a few"

My Mum abandoned the trolley in the middle of Lidl because the music they were playing in there was so mindbogglingly awful that it drove her to tears. She described them as awful songs that she'd never heard anything like before and that made her feel assaulted, and thinks they must be AI

Okay, Harris' book is rubbish and "we" actually is a pronoun. Sigh. Can we please just understand basic language?

It also turns out that people have probably cared about each other for the entirety of our existence.

Our ability to form strong, functional communities is one of our most dominant advantages over other animals. There's nothing natural about denying and demonizing empathy.

And of course you COULD argue that's "woman work," but these are the same chuds that claim women can't be as smart or logical as men despite that being demonstrably untrue if you have a shred of intellectual honesty.

Because they just want to believe they're innately special.

It turns out that you actually need many types of people to create a thriving community and nation, no matter how much guys like that scream about "real men."

Somebody has to be a nerd who can handle shit like managing trade and rationing resources for the winter.

It's really funny to me that guys who idealize the Spartans and Vikings don't even engage with the reality of what they were, just the version they've seen in media.

Both cultures were far more multi-faceted than their popular depictions.

He's apparently lovely to work with, which is genuinely great.

But what you say with your art IS important. And you're always saying something, especially when you think you're not.

I think when you're an artist who refuses to engage in actually interrogating your own relationship with your art and what it might be saying, you're fairly likely to fall into traps like that.

And Snyder seems somewhat incapable of engaging with his own art in any meaningful way.

But this also goes to show how fashy people obsessed with this universe often are.

Not always, I'm not willing to paint with that broad a brush. But often.

And while Snyder doesn't seem very pro-fascist as a human being, his work certainly LOVES fascist imagery and ideas. Which is still bad.

A few other less important takeaways about how dumb the claim is:

1. There is no reason to dismantle what's currently working.
2. The actors are not guaranteed to return even if this were true.
3. As annoying as these two guys can be, I have trouble imagining they'd want to do this at all either.

I love the hell out of Spider-Man, but if it was announced that they were actively taking Saudi blood money to fund the next film I'd boycott it in a heartbeat.

Also very tonedeaf to be cool with accepting the murder of journalists to fund more movies featuring a superhero who is a journalist.
It is 2025 and comic book fascists still can’t let go of their embarrassing obsession with a failed cinematic universe. I don’t think they understand how hilarious they seem to normal people as a result.

Walk into a bank where you don’t have an account, walk out with startup capital?

Sounds impossible.

But we did it. Some times you just have a to want it bad enough.

Here’s what we did. First, we learned where the bank manager lived.
Founders on LinkedIn still seem to be struggling with the difference between telling people about their humble beginnings and admitting to straight up committing fraud.
