my fav part of how HAL has been invoked over the last decade is that its always used by the privileged for whom punishment is an abstract and torn apart by ppl pretending to not understand the thesis of "punishment happens to those who cant stop it" b/c itd require them to stop being ugly bullies

Last month, another furry convention, BLFC in Reno, banned tactical gear & other modern police/military costumes before the con. This came amid a mass shooting at their host venue this summer
