If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

My mother keeps buying me these drops that she knows about from a Facebook MLM. The drops are, of course, snake oil. I am finding it hard to convince her to stop spending so much money on them and that I won't use them. It's frustrating.

I've been saying for a while that the biggest problem with being the Party of the Aggrieved is that for most of the time, one has to be aggrieved about the stupidest shit. Now I think the biggest problem is the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" effect.
Yeah I noticed that reaction to this shooting is pretty much on the same scale as reaction to Cracker Barrel changing their logo.
if charlie kirk didn't get shot the right wing would be equally and as consequentially as mad about a tv commercial or restaurant logo or something else, they're gonna do what they're gonna do regardless

I cannot stress enough to students how using AI in your writing actually hinders you as the writing is muddled and generic. Scoring scholarship applicants this go-round was such a challenge because most everyone sent in almost the same essay. If everyone gets the same score, than no one gets $$.
I can't believe I need to have an AI policy! I made it pretty short though: Using AI is cheating, yourself mostly. In addition to the environmental blight created by AI, it makes no sense to use it in your intellectual and creative work. Why would you outsource your innate intelligence?
