Die vorbeugende Wirkung ist entscheidend: Wenn die Unions-Führung damit rechnen müsste, dass sie einen wesentlichen Teil ihrer Mitglieder und Wähler*innen verlöre, könnte sie es nicht tun. Deshalb sind solche öffentliche (oder auch interne) Aussagen wichtig. Wie auch solche Umfragen:
49% der bisherigen Unionswähler*innen würden sie auch dann noch wählen, wenn die Union mit der AfD zusammenarbeiten würde.
Aber 39% würden sie dann nicht mehr wählen.
Diese 39% sind die beste Gewähr gegen eine AfD-Regierung. Und solche Umfragen sind Gold wert.
