Just once I'd like a reporter to respond to one of these utterly ridiculous claims by saying something like, "That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. That make absolutely no sense. How would that possibly happen?"

The WP and other news outlets are trying hard to make the Jones texts (VA attouney general race) a big story. But in the age of Trump, nobody cares and this story just doesn't have legs. It's a drop in a bucket of outrage that has been filling for the past decade. It's tame by Trump era standards.
