Few nice ideas floating about again on T20WC qualifying. I should really do some writing & sketch some flow charts
Put some thought into how qualifying should work for the men's T20 World Cup and come up with a solution that will probably please only me. In coming up with this I've used two principles: 1. No qualification on rankings. Other than the host(s), teams qualify on tournament performance only. (1/7)

This will be the first Women's T20 World Cup to feature four European teams.
The last time four European teams played at any Women's Cricket World Cup was in 1997, when Denmark, England, Ireland & Netherlands played at 11 team ODI World Cup in 1997 (administrated by the IWCC rather than the ICC).

🏏 There's an interesting #U19WC subplot to be had, with regards to qualification for the next edition. With all 12 FMs in the 2nd round, but only 11 direct qualifiers, the lowest placed finisher will fall back to regional qualification. That is, unless they're selected as the host for the next event
