I think this is is the most important thing I can pin, so…

Very proud of my comrade, of his staff, and of myself and other volunteer leads I met through the campaign that helped secure a historic victory — providing moments of leadership like this before even taking office.
Know your rights. Protect your neighbors.

New York is — and always will be — a city for all immigrants.
Not sure what’ll happen during his Admin. especially in terms of Comms, but it was good to show low or uncertain moments of the campaign. I’m glad we got to see footage of him (+ some initial leads) get ignored canvassing a year ago, which would be impossible now. Organizing works if you keep at it.

I think just like there are restaurants and businesses that are open on Xmas for people who don’t observe it, there should be places on NYE open for those who don’t celebrate time

On December 14th, I sat across from 142 New Yorkers as they shared their concerns, their dreams, the leadership they long for from City Hall. Our campaign was built around listening to the people of New York, and we will govern in the same way. Tomorrow, we get to work.

Tonight is the California Assembly filing deadline.

Jackie Elward is my wife, and she’s running as a real pro worker candidate. This is when support actually shows up on the report. Small donations before midnight make a difference.

This has always been a Bluesky-first campaign. But as of today, we will no longer be using Twitter. At all.

And I'm calling on other candidates to follow suit.

The Democratic Socialists of America are still a small political group. But as economic inequality keeps burning, members are attracting interest and getting elected to office. Now activists are dealing with the opportunities and tensions of the moment, writes Mara Gay.

Today is my 40th birthday. I started my 30s by becoming a dad and ended them helping elect a fellow organizer as NYC mayor.

Now I’m kicking off my 40s by running as an organizer-in-office for the NY State Assembly. Help us launch a winning campaign: valdesforny.com

2026 will be the year we deliver universal childcare, defend our immigrant neighbors, and usher in a new era of dignity for the working class of Queens and NYC.

Thank you, @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, for entrusting me with the great responsibility of representing Assembly District 36.
