Check out my visual novel! :D
... and Campo Largo Build 1 is live!

Elder Travis Hartley, a deer on his mission in South America, has been entrusted with a new companion in a new town.

He knows who he is and why he's here. He's right on track.

Until... things start happening. Things he can't explain...

I typically answer "None of the above" to every YouTube advertiser survey

But

I just found one for which I enthusiastically answered ALL of the above

A good rule of thumb:

Double-check sources if a historical argument requires multiple steps to confirm your ideological priors.

(I just encountered "'eye of newt' in witches' brew recipes was just a code name for 'mustard seed,'" which was apparently first asserted w/o sources in the 1980s.)

Might I interest you in the “Paws on Parchment” exhibit currently showing at The Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore for a few more weeks?

Paws on Parchment
This paws-itively adorable exhibition explores how medieval people thought about, engaged with, and admired cats in books from the period.

Why does this matter, IMO?

1. If you're going to critique people, critique the _truth_ about them, not stuff you made up

2. Maybe don't play other demographics as stereotypes _when you know people believe the stereotypes_

3. You can make funnier jokes when you know demographics better
It's laughably easy to tell when people are faking knowing anything about Mormons

In this one: "Bible study" is not a phrase Mormons use

After all, you may have heard that Mormons have other scriptures

For instance: The Book of Mormon

From which the nickname is derived

Fanart was inevitable once I realized he was hot and Thomas confirmed that outfit is accurate, cuffs, gloves, no sleeves and all (I couldn't reconcile religion + beef in my mind initially). And I'm frankly still conflicted, but it was super fun to draw and I couldn't stop til it was full color...
Awesome take on the Reverend and Kingmaker by @codyvfrost.bsky.social. I love it when the Reverend's overwhelming presence just bursts through the picture. Thanks so much!!!

A bunch of geeks/nerds (specifically white men) view themselves as wise, benign Philosopher Kings in opposition to the "Barbarian" Jock Hordes while still replicating the same behaviors of toxic masculinity and behaviors. See both "Revenge of the Nerds" and (early) "The Big Bang Theory".
I’m curious. What makes nerd communities so insufferable when it comes to gatekeeping hobbies? You would think that it would be open arms when you say you’re interested in something especially because they were probably bullied for liking that same thing but instead of embracing you they shun you 🤷🏾‍♂️

Glory Hounds is great! Great art direction, with episodic stories that vary nicely in tone.
Pinned post time.
