2025 was a harder year for me than most. I worked more shows than I ever have, and struggled with a lot of Feelings, including a major burnout over summer and fall.
I feel like I’m finally peeling out of that cocoon, and I really hope for better things in 2026.

Don't make the mistake of leaving boring cookies for Santa Claws, unless you want to find boring presents under your yule tree, instead of a severed deer leg, a dead squirrel, twigs, and bones.. presents are boring.. dead things are the best yule gift one can find under their tree.

Had Christmas dinner with my bio family for the first time in my life (I’m 45), and it was really neat to so cool to realize just how similar my brother and I ended up despite never meeting until recently.
Also his wife is a falconer so I got to meet her eastern redtail hawk(?!) how cool is that

My recipe for royal icing is:
16oz powdered sugar
5 Tbsp meringue powder
2 tsp clear vanilla
Pinch of salt
Scant (about 7/8) cup water
Beat on high with whisk for 5 mins, until stiff peak. Using a piping bag, ice cookies. Sets to a hard crunch overnight.
