I just want to say that @channel4news.bsky.social C4 News is doing remarkable work in Syria. Everyday they are pulling out the stories and delivering in depth reporting with a seriousness and diligence missing from other UK outlets.
Thank you.

Over the years social housing stock has been sold, real wages cut, profiteering unchecked, local council funding cut.

Liverpool has 12,764 households on its social housing waiting list. It has just five "additional social rent dwellings".

What is the govt doing?

Watch the Minister's reply.

When presenters on #r4today read out headlines and pieces from the overwhelmingly right-wing UK press multiple times each day are they checked for their accuracy? When gross errors are made do the same presenters read out 'The Telegraph got this totally wrong'? www.thepoke.com/2025/06/19/t...
The Telegraph’s correction to its heartbreaking private school fees sob story just gets better and better
You might remember a little while ago how a Daily Telegraph story about a family struggling to keep up with rising public school fees went wildly viral. Indeed, so tough were they finding it after Lab...

That final point is absolutely crucial.
The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

if you’re wondering what TV & radio would look like without the bbc if the right had its way, picture the state of our privatised rivers & seas, but instead it’s raw sewage pumped into your telly & speakers

Funny how I’ve heard Nigel Farage’s opinion on the BBC on #BBCR4Today this morning, but not @zackpolanski.bsky.social . Maybe The Telegraph should investigate?

For Wes Streeting: On the Wirral a failing hospital, Arrowe Park has taken over the excellent Saint Catherine’s Hospital. The problem is all the bad management from Arrowe Park are keeping their jobs whilst ST Catherine’s are losing theirs.
This is not a good sign.

"Yorkshire Water was privatised in 1989 under the Water Act, launched debt-free and promoted as the start of a new, efficient era.

What followed was anything but. Today, the company carries almost £7bn in debt. Our rivers are polluted, our bills keep rising, and we’re told to pay still more..."
Yorkshire Water: it’s time to end the rip-off
Handing the company back to local people would return both control and value to those who need it most

ICE is now raiding night clubs while continuing to terrorize our communities. This is just the latest case of ICE’s unchecked power. This brutality continues to worsen. ICE is trying to divide communities, they know they can’t pull this off if communities come together to stop them. They fear us.

He has orchestrated 50+ extrajudicial killings. No evidence provided for his actions.

He is openly enriching himself and his billionaire donors while waging war against the working class.

#r4today We need consistency in our response to genocide. Netanyahu has been held responsible for Israel’s army committing genocide.
Israel’s government has not shown remorse for its actions so as a civilised and lawful nation the UK should not be trading with or hosting any Israeli presence.

Awkward for Zia Yusuf, who keeps being sent out to lie as cover for the Reform UK leader

Who did Nigel Farage have lunch with after resigning as UKIP leader 4 July 2016?

Why, it's Russian bribe enthusiast Nathan Gill, who then did the important news briefing on his behalf (to Russia Today)
