Exclusive: Based on documents viewed by this newsletter, OpenAI spent over $12.4 billion on inference from 2024 to September 2025. As part of its Microsoft revenue share, it sent $493.8m in 2024/$865.8m Jan-Sep 2025, implying lower revenues than previously reported.

another degree of nuance: when you're actively being terrorized by an oppressing force, *everything* people have to say about the oppressors that isn't in solidarity with your anger feels abrasive. i normally keep these types of thoughts offline out of consideration for who might read them.

Metroidvania that does the original flavour Metroid "protagonist takes off their helmet during the credits and surprise, they're a girl!" thing, except we saw them out of armour during the game's intro and they at least *appeared* to be a dude at the time, so this is surprising to them as well.

It annoys me when people say “they’re on SNAP but their hair and nails are done and they’ve got tattoos”. It’s extremely normal to do your own hair and buy press on nails, and tattoos literally last forever. What do tattoos someone got 10 years ago have to do with them needing to eat now
