Wolf. I spend a lot of time on two wheels. Day job starting at screens. Motorcycle racer for fun & business but not much profit. Fursuiter & licensed clown. Kinky, queer, weirdo. 40-ish, awoo/he/they. A crankycoyote on birdsite. PDX local.
Pinned
Pinned post! I can be found in the wild in a number of different wolf-like shapes. Suits are by Crystumes, KaraKat, NetherDen, myself, and Feyala.

I had never heard of this before yesterday, and it's a great example of why Americans need to think more broadly than either 1930s Germany or even US history as a whole about parallels for the current situation
The Chun regime that my wife fought against in the 80s did the exact same thing. They needed a "crisis" that "only they could solve" to hoard more ill-gotten power, so they chose one city (Gwangju), declared its inhabitants enemies, sent trucks full of soldiers to violently attack and kill them.

With CO's first fatal cougar attack in 27 years this month, and some recent attacks on dogs here in my rural corner of WA, it's good to remember that cougars are always with us, and usually very little happens. Check out my story for @highcountrynews.org from back in 2020 www.hcn.org/issues/52-3/...

I originally did this in 2023 and y'all have only gotten worse. Please, think of the poor deer furries and spare a thought for their sanity. Harton has now seen his 638th 'Happy Nude Deer'.

At Pancake Rocks in NZ, we randomly ran into two other furries who were suiting at the same time, also travelling. Hey Relay and Simyaz, pleasure to meet y’all!

Passed A&P 1, was *this* close to getting an A but I bombed the lab section and despite a 95 on the final, an 87.5 was the best I could do. Admission to OHSU would be questionable with that (25% acceptance rate), so I’m going to take a term off, rethink my options, and get other things squared away.

*sigh* no Halloween for me this year.

Tonight is studying for A&P tomorrow because after the last lab exam I need every point I can scrape together.

Sunday is a BLS for health care workers course, so Sat night is studying for that.

Sunday night is trying to catch up at work.

Monday is hell.

“Prairie Life”

An older piece with even older origins. My undergraduate years included significant research and exploration time in short-grass prairie ecosystems. These are the organisms and places I still love and cherish from a formative time in my scientific journey. Sacred. (Check alt text)

I am so tempted to use this phrase in a meeting, with just a bit of the Texas accent: “Look, I can’t just puppet junior devs through JIRA tickets, they need skills they don’t have and nobody likes a hand that far up their ass without a whole lot of Crisco.”

I won’t, but the temptation is real.
