No the “anarchists in bloc” flocking in to fight ICE are very specifically interlopers. Minneapolis is being protected by ordinary neighbors using tactics that they are comfortable with and can learn. That’s why there are tens of thousands of people involved.

Anyway the real heroes of Minnesota are the countless volunteers doing boring shifts where nothing happens. The mom of three delivering food to 40 families in her kids’ school. The dad standing at the door of an elementary with a whistle for hours. The drivers endlessly looping, seeing nothing.

Yes, the demand here in Minneapolis is not for total war against police, or for revolution. It is that ICE, which is ruining this city, leave immediately, so we can go back to our lives.

I think this post really exemplifies the liberal mindset.
The liberals see the evil actions of the state and want it to stop affecting them and their community.
They want to return to the days of regular police with judicial warrants disappearing these people, not the disappearing apparatus gone.

This is an extremely clarifying comment: these people think that this is somehow their war and they’re mad that regular folks are fighting it. That’s not what’s happening. Minnesotans are rallying to ensure their neighbors can’t be stolen in secret. It’s not even ideological.

Arknights endfield is so good in every way that isn't it's story, cause atm the motivations I'm being given are so cookie cutter I'm literally operating on "I'm sure it will get better later" as my sole motivation to engage with the plot lmao.

The only way this doesn't happen is if we get like decades of economic collapse and unending death and hardship while the GOP just refuses to give up power, which does seem to be the direction things are going. The future seems unendingly bleak.

BOTH times he ran for presidency his four year record of shitty actions were completely memory holed and forgotten. Suddenly vast numbers of people simply started acting like the GOP didn't do endless horrible policies while supporting a complete idiot.

Yes the president is a complete mad man, and yes all the Republicans in power in every branch of government are doing nothing at all to even remotely curtail his actions, but down the line we might have to take electoral actions against the GOP so nothing going on atm will be remembered.

None of what's happening is even a surprise to me, but apparently, large chunks of people simple didnt think he would be this bad, didn't care, or thought these events were simply inevitable. These people decided to ruin the lives of literally billions of people all across the world for no reason

Also, please note: they tried very hard to be scary, kept saying “this is where you live, go home” over the loudspeaker. But when you continue to follow them, they don’t arrest you, they run. Their tactics are based in fear and bullying, not any true legal authority.
Here’s a really tense ICE situation in front of my home. One car looped a block 25 times until two reinforcement cars showed up and led me home. Was pretty scary because I was solo - BUT I knew I had backup from thousands of courageous neighbors and observers. Strength in numbers.

I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
