Ok so I got the Shadowrun starter box and it has 12d6 that are ALSO all custom themed to the universe so it gets a gold star
ttrpg starter boxes and battletech boxes love to be like "look I know we included like a shit ton of fun stuff to get you into the game, it's all super cool, I know, but we can only afford like...a single set of playing dice for a single person in these multiplayer games."

I'll never forget the time my dad tried to genuinely make the argument that all politicians are exactly the same in terms of legislative outcomes because both parties want political power. Like yes dude you need to gain political power to pass the bills you like, that's how it's always worked
