This is the kind of thing white supremacists have been doing to Emmett Till’s memorial for decades.

It’s wild to see them do this to a white woman who the entire world saw extrajudicially murdered.
Someone doused Renee Good’s Minneapolis memorial and a nearby pile of wood with gasoline and started a fire at about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

It seems nuts to me that CNN has partnered with an online gambling site (Kalshi) and hypes their betting lines as “news” to report.

"The Shadow President," @andykroll.bsky.social's deep dive into Russell Vought, has just won a George Polk award for political reporting.

They are chicken nuggets but filing a lawsuit over it is hilarious
A judge ruled Buffalo Wild Wings can continue to call its menu item “boneless wings” even though they are “essentially chicken nuggets”

The judge said the plaintiff didn't "drum" up enough evidence in his lawsuit against the franchise
No bones about it: Judge allows Buffalo Wild Wings to keep 'boneless' chicken on menu
U.S. District Judge John Tharp said in his ruling that the plaintiff didn't "drum" up enough evidence in his lawsuit against the franchise.

In shocking news, a guy who works for Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal finds Bluesky "exhausting"
This is a good example of why I find Bluesky exhausting and not worth cross posting. You could write a piece that carefully lays out the evidence, and the first (and 2nd-4th) replies are Big Mad that you didn't just write the piece they wanted. X has its problems — many, many problems — but ...
Well look at that.

If only the media had reported realistically about the economy in 2024, would we even be in this position?

But bothsides, amirite?

Soap and water in a bathroom setting is so foreign to them, they’d use SHARED APPLIANCES to clean their underwear instead of using soap and water in the bathroom sink/tub/ shower.

This is not new and AGAIN FOR THE SLOW PEOPLE IN THE BACK. Black Americans have been vocalizing concerns about wealth inequality THROUGH NETWORKS since the early 19th century, often framing it as a direct consequence of stolen labor and systemic exclusion from capital.
We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.
