The greatest political scandal today is not what Trump is doing. It is the fact that congressional Republicans have given up their role in the constitutional system as a check on the executive branch. If we are in a constitutional crisis, it is as much on Mike Johnson and John Thune as anyone else.

We can’t say this enough: When people in Trump‘s orbit deliberately lie about how our constitutional democracy works, they violate the oaths they take to uphold the law. & they violate the trust the American people place in them.

This is absolutely happening. As the president of the board for a sexual & domestic violence org, I can confirm that funds distributed by the Office for Violence Against Women cannot currently be accessed.
Defying a court order: “What Trump is doing could shutter critical infrastructure projects in every community, kill good-paying jobs, choke off funding for farmers, stop innovation, leave massive holes in local community budgets...”

A gay guy, a Black man, and a woman walk into a flight deck— that’s not the beginning of a joke, but just a regular day at work! There was so much DEI on this plane that we could hardly get in the air. Luckily my limp wrists were able to wrestle the heavy jet back to the ground 💅🏼
