Plane math is weird. I’m a revenue pax today (I haven’t flown standby in a looong time), and I accepted fate in my perfectly fine Premium Economy middle seat. I was number six on the upgrade list with two open up front, and yet here I am in 1F 💅🏼

I finished season three of The Diplomat. Nothing will beat the cliffhanger of season two. And I’m not shocked by the cliffhanger of this season. I’m not saying it’s bad, I just don’t think it was as jaw dropping.

I was in a funk all day, mostly about my ex using my grocery discount card. It’s moot. But I went to the gym, made myself a nice dinner, and relaxing to The Diplomat. Still in a funk, but at least I did the damn things.

I love making myself meals when I’m home. It’s very grounding and a form of self-care. But one thing I don’t like doing is cooking chicken— that’s where a Costco rotisserie chicken does many jobs. I make stock and freeze it for easy soups like this. So delish!

Yesterday I spent all day at a spa. $70 got me a 90 minute aromatherapy massage, a cute lil lunch after, and access to the sauna and hot tubs— as well as little nooks and crannies (not pictured) to relax in. China understands the layover assignment.
