1) Don't run D&D. Problem players love D&D. I can't explain it, but it's true.
2) Run games at the queer meetup. Gay people are nicer that straight people, it's just a fact.

We don’t expect players who aren’t charismatic to say what they do to convince the guard, why do we expect players who aren’t skilled at squad-based small unit tactical combat to say what they do on their turn? Just let them say “I make the most optimal tactical decision” and roll the dice.

This story also a terrible look for Steve Jackson Games. Either SJGs signed a deal with Jay without understanding the contract obligations (stupid but okay) or they understand the obligations but decided they could lawyer the artists into submission (outright evil and it exactly what happened).

Honor your agreements—pay your freelancers. If you’re in a tight spot financially, or other parties cause money problems so that you’re suddenly low on funds, that’s unfortunately completely irrelevant. The freelancers don’t need to care about that. Pay them.

Long but important. I just started running demos of Yazeba's at a monthly game night, I'm going to find something else to run now. I'm sad about it but there it is.
