Earlier this year I saw a judge issue a bench warrant for someone in the hospital because they had a LITERAL HEART ATTACK and when their attorney objected and reiterated that they were IN THE LITERAL HOSPITAL, the judge said "this is no less important. They could have gotten themselves discharged."
Judges every year in CLE courses: We don't understand why mental health and life expectancy are so poor among attorneys

A judge today: No counsel I won't reschedule [hearing date] for you to have surgery, I'm not delaying my docket for you. Figure it out.

Awful lot of people making passionate pleas and being outraged about "special education" who haven't worn a mask in 3 years.

Sometimes my doctor gets it right. They put "take as needed every night" on my sleep med instead of the ones who are all "it works better if you don't take it every night" - ma'am I need sleep every day, that's how humans work. #NEISvoid

It is fucking bullshit that a guy who can and wants to work isn't allowed to because then he wouldn't be poor enough to qualify for lifesaving critical care.

But it'll be a cold day in hell before we merely accept the state of things like this as reasonable.

And that's why we win in the end.

What.

Not trolling, I don't know what any of this means. Halp.
If you're uncomfortable with Bluesky owning (and being able to delete) your data but don't want to go the whole way to self-hosted/another service, you should:

1) Register identity recovery keys, which will allow you to point your current identity to a new PDS
2) Backup your PDS periodically

We don't have to lie? Big if true..!
Assuming CDC formally adopts ACIP's recommendations, CVS tells me it will provide Covid vaccines without a prescription in all 50 states and won't require even self-attestation of a qualifying condition — "it’s up to the individual patient."

No confirmation from Walgreens or Walmart yet.
I have reached out to CVS, Walgreens and Walmart to ask how they will apply these recommendations to people seeking vaccines at their pharmacies. I cannot provide any info on how this will affect your ability to get a vaccine right now, because I don't know yet.

Disabled people deserve more than the bare minimum to survive (not that many even get that)...

They deserve to have enough to try and find their best quality of life, to have support, and whatever they need to manage their health.

They deserve to be and feel safe.
