An obsessive, manic trash-goblin, I collect things, I create things, and I write through things.
Pinned
A few years ago, when I lived in the CA desert, I went outside to clear the thorny tumbleweeds from my yard, and when I went down the breezeway between my house & fence, I stepped into a void.
There was no wind. The birds went silent. Everything stopped, and I've never felt so alone, so alien--
Horror is such an important outlet to process trauma and confront our fears, and the Horror Not Hate project gives marginalized voices a platform to share some much needed catharsis through creativity.

I hope you'll check it out & share! #horrorsky

This is such a good point. We need to document what's happening now for the future, because we can't trust the spin.

Current powers want to erase and rewrite history, and the only way to combat their lies is to flood with truth. More physical media.

Hoping I'll finish this rewrite (did I mention I got another one? Days after the last. Is that a good sign? 🤞🤞) in time for the Animal Crossing update, I could really use a braindead weekend, and shaking island trees and chatting up a hippocampus sounds perfect.

Q: What’s better than listening to me poorly explain the concept of SECRET DEFENDERS to screenwriters Ian Springer and Jeff Kaplan?

A: Listening to screenwriters Ian Springer and Jeff Kaplan talk about what it was like writing FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS.

I never realized how much I use the em dash until a producer asked that I double check my spacing across my entire script.

They were right, btw— I am grammatically inconsistent.

(See what I did there? That's incorrect. You want a space on either side — Or—no spaces.)

The goal of a successful logline is to pitch your script in the timeframe an escalator needs to reach its destination.

I submitted my new draft to producers, and I want to barf-- Don't be concerned, this happens every time. I love the script! It may be the best thing I've ever written.

Time to go stare at a wall until I find purpose again (and maybe catch up on my unread email 😬). #scriptsky

Just found this line in a script I wrote; "[she was] wheeling from the burn."

Producers read this draft. #scriptsky

So, uh... Where do we stand on feature page count lately? #scriptsky

Zach Cregger's WEAPONS was what? 118ish? Hell, SINNERS was reportedly 167 pages!

What do we think some asshole nobody like me can get away with? 👉👈
If I had a nickel for every time I thought this script was impossible—

I'd have a shit-ton of nickels.

I was feeling a little extra shit because I worked so hard to cut pages on this script, and I'm up 5 pages on this rewrite-- then my partner pointed out that means I wrote 5 pages this week, and I'm like

Submitted my script to big, important people.

Relieved it's out of my hands, but as a secret control freak, I'm also *slightly* losing my mind. You know how it is.

Luckily, December is a hectic month, and I have plenty of distractions!

Silly past-me.

*NOW* I'm in the home stretch. Rewrite done, I'm 4 pages up (boo!), hoping to carve it down with a quick edit pass before sending it off to producers after Thanksgiving.

Apart from the page count, I'm super happy with it! Tentatively optimistic! #scriptsky
I'm in the home stretch of this deep edit, then I hope to come up for air.

I miss you, Internet People.
