Editorial: Tearing Through the Frame — How Cinematography Imagines Other Dimensions in Horror - Daily Dead
Horror's other dimensions almost never arrive with spectacle. They arrive with a visual error. Something drifts through the air that shouldn’t be there. Light bends as if it's forgotten its job. A roo...

For @dailydead.bsky.social I reviewed Neon's big horror acquisition, LEVITICUS.

Adrian Chiarella puts a conversion therapy spin on It Follows with confidence. It's a familiar but promising debut with tremendous lead performances from Joe Bird and Stacy Clausen. #Sundance
Sundance 2026 Review: LEVITICUS is Searing Queer Horror - Daily Dead
As far as horror debuts go, Leviticus beams with promise. Writer-director Adrian Chiarella sports a keen eye for what’s scary, as my shrieking Sundance audience can attest. It’s familiar in structure,...

We’re crushed to hear that Catherine O’Hara has left us. Horror fans know her work in BEETLEJUICE and THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (as well as a memorable appearance in TALES FROM THE CRYPT), but her body of creativity beyond genre is an epic one. Our condolences to all who loved her.

BUDDY: What if a psycho Barney took over Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and murdered anyone who didn’t shower him with love? That’s just a taste of what Adult Swim alum Casper Kelly cooks up, and it’s a wild one. For me, a twisted meta-midnighter that gets as bizarro as I’d hoped. Oh, I laughed. #Sundance
