A motion being put forward today for the budget that would see service frequencies on Line 1 increased off-peak to 6 minutes (from the current 10 minutes). This would be very welcome news and relief to many that travel outside of the peak periods during midway.

Full speed ahead: Ottawa–Montreal chosen as starting point for Alto High-Speed Rail. Construction of the Ottawa-Montreal segment is expected to begin in 2029. Beginning in January 2026, Alto will begin a comprehensive three-month consultation process.

Yesterday, Ottawa City Council approved the 2026 budget.

Councillors were good about pointing out the fundamental problems with our bus reliability, but they still voted in support of a budget that will not solve the bus shortage.

Impressive level of neglect. That they couldn't even get taxis and house them in Brockville, or just straight up drive them to Ottawa.

Even OC wouldn't do us a dirty like this.
Via Rail’s quality of service is far, far below international standards – Canadians need to stop normalizing this:

The new LRT brings 18 stops from Finch West Station to Humber Polytechnic, connecting with TTC, GO, MiWay, YRT and Züm. Soft-opening hours: 6 a.m.–10 p.m., with bus service afterward. Big milestone for Toronto transit!
