Councillor Tim Tierney is wrong about ‘Chronic No-Voters’ in his Ottawa Citizen Op/Ed on Saturday.
His opinion would be easier to take seriously if the comments weren’t coming from someone with a 15-year track record of being a reliable yes-man for every budget. 1/21

Jealous of anyone that managed to snag tickets to Pup night 2 tonight.

Don't think my ears could handle back to back nights, but I would have loved to try!

Driving to montreal for 16hours to watch a Habs game. Is my kindle, a 700 page book and a book of short stories enough?

Amazon, please stop asking me if books I bought month ago met my expectations. I still have unread books I bought in 2012. Be real.

Nothing quite like holding a train at a station with the doors open in -14C weather.

If I bought a book as a gift for someone, but I also want to read it, can I download a copy for my kindle? Do i read the gift book without cracking the spine? Do I get in line for two years to get it from the library?

Found a pristine copy of Die Hard at the second hand book/movie sale at work. Looks like I'll be visiting Nakatomi Plaza for my next treadmill run.

I inherited a treadmill a few months ago. Used it three times. Last week, inspired by all the movie accounts here to pull out my DVD collection. Been watching movies while running. I'm now on my third 5km run chunk of the extended LOTR:FOTR in the last week.

"why are houses so expensive?". You're selling a lot, with a two story building thats just waiting to go to the dump for...800,000$. If a builder buys this, no wonder they have to put in a 2M$ home to just break even.

Speaks volumes about how the city sees public transit, that the cover photo isnt the LRT, or and electric bus, but a fucking fare enforcement officer.
#OttBudget 2026 invests in the services we rely on every day. We have realized more than $252 million in savings during this Term of Council through service reviews and continue to improve services for our residents.
One example is @octranspo.com’s safety strategy.

Between Nuzzi and Gaines this week, seems its not just mediocre men that fail up...

Seems the common denominator now is whiteness
An incident in a locker room has always been key to Riley Gaines’ anti-trans fame.

But @msjpauly.bsky.social spoke to swimmers who were present at the same 2022 meet. They shared a very different narrative.
How right-wing superstar Riley Gaines built an anti-trans empire
The swimmer tied a trans woman for fifth. The MAGA industrial complex took care of the rest.

Finally. Some fucking fight from the opposition. Let's go!

Let's take that energy outside the legislature and call for the only thing that will work. General Strike.

Every year, OCTranspo gets a little worse. Ten years ago, i had a bus from orleans straight to work in 40 minutes. Now, even with no problems its 3 transfers and a minimum of 1h20.

Amid all the horrible news from the US, seems like today was a win all around. Map injunctions, the Senate finally goes against Trump, NC standing up to ICe...

Finally got back up to a 5km tonight. Slow as molasses but progress over the last month. Dropping 8lbs doesn't hurt either

8yo's bday party sleepover cancelled because she started a fever and a headache. Looks like a fun week in store for us. Can't wait for the T1D child to also catch whatever this is.
