Hi, I’m Mo (she/her). I’m a sapphic non-binary trans femme from Canada.

Trans existence and trans joy are a beautiful things.

Always working to become more compassionate, authentic and thoughtful, and to learn how to find or create joy and meaning for myself and others.

And here we go.

To all the folks who said the trans community was overreacting to changes in legislation, fuck you. Seriously, fuck you.
Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation, claims that evidence suggests a correlation between undergoing Trans Medical Care and acts of violence.

He states Heritage's public policy solution is to ban it for all ages and they're willing to work towards this goal on an incremental basis.

OZMA #1 Special Edition Kickstarter

I don't usually support crowd-funding efforts, but I fully endorse this one aimed at the publication of Lifeline Comics, OZMA #1.

This comic is a fully-queer version of Ozma, the trans witch of Oz.

Any real artist knows that ideas abound - everyone in film has ideas. I have file cabinets full of ideas.

It's the execution that's the rub.

Gods, I hate this whole "talent (which is really passion enough to stick with something) and sustained effort are elitist" horseshit.
AI filmmaking is completely unserious.

You've got people with $30k begging the internet for ideas by next week because they have nothing of their own to say, it's just slop for the sake of slop. Embarrassing state of affairs.

surgery org looking at longer wait times

feels like getting my own surgery could devolve into a race against bigotry and could roll thing back for others

If you need someone who isn't trans to confirm this, the 20thC has decades of academic research papers with psychiatrists and therapists bemoaning that trans people simply won't stop being trans. Not electric shocks, psychotherapeutic gaslighting, even Exorcism.
perhaps obvious but as trans folks who spent our childhoods closeted will know, alllllllllll the pressure in the world can't change what you *are*.
If kids are allowed to express themselves too young, they might not end up growing up to be cisgender, and we think we might be able to pressure it out of them if we start early, goes the logic. We might be able to put them on the "correct natural trajectory" by inhibiting their preferred expression

I don't know who needs to hear this but AGP isn't a real thing, you're just a woman who finds the idea of being a sexy woman to be hot. That's normal woman stuff. That's not cis dude territory. Explore your gender and try E

Just heard general (ie not specific to me) news that it may take way longer to get a surgery date than had been expecting.

I am actually really feeling this right now.

yeah, this.

even now I get skittish around the Chosen Ones I meet in life...some people were never the butt of jokes, scorn and bullying for years and honestly, it shows. some of them were even the ones who did the scorning and bullying and holy shit THAT shows.
remembering how brutal valentines day was as a kid where you had like a box on your desk at school and you could walk up and put valentines/candy in there and all the cool kids got a lot and the dorks just kinda sat there with some candy we had put into our own boxes to not look as pathetic 😔

This is an excellent read.
Since Cass is again making the rounds for expounding on all the ways we might make fewer trans kids, here’s a piece on how this discourse erases the lives of trans people doing extraordinary specifically because they embraced who they are. Whose rich lives wouldn’t have happened in the closet.
In defense of trans quality of life — Jessica Kant
Today trans people exist in an atmosphere where it has become normal for strangers to demand of us that we extemporaneously provide inarguable, indisputable proof that without very safe medical care w...

And any inequality in music is because of techbro capitalists,, such as Spotify, who are gatekeepers and pay artists a pittance, if at all.

One again, corporations trying to deflect blame and burden onto the working artists...you know, the ones who actually make the music they reap profit from.
Oh, FFS. Music is made by working class people all the damn time. There were entire movements of music built by working class people: punk, hiphop, etc.

The fucking Beatles came from working class families.

This attempt to cast musicians who work at their art as elitist is fucking insulting.
What do we think about the assertion in this meme? I know, we think it's asinine, but I'm looking for specific arguments as to why it's asinine.

People don’t want to do the fun part which is learning. They want to be rewarded in this instant gratification way and that’s the asshole lie that AI assholes sell to other assholes. They think they’re entitled to start at the top.

Why do people talk about division as if it's the fault and responsility of those progressive elements that seek to improve life for marginialized people, and people in general?

In my mind, it's the folks trying to turn society into an anti-human-rights capitalist dream that are creating division.

This is how ingrained transphobia is.

Let’s imagine “trying to live under the radar” was said about queer people. Gay men. Lesbians. Bisexual people.

That all these noisy gays are making it more difficult for good quiet gays to live “under the radar.” To live closeted. For the comfort of others.
“Trying to live under the radar”

My transness isn’t something I should need to hide. I refuse to feel shame for something innate, usual and human.

Trans+ people living proudly as themselves is not what is causing our persecution.
On one side, you have trans people asking to be left alone and maintain our access to health care. On the other, a bunch of people who believe we shouldn't exist. But Cass believes both sides are the same.

This whole interview is atrocious.
