The Fall's support acts were Pure Morning (before they became Clinic) and I, Ludicrous.
On this day 30 years ago it was (Stephen) Duffy headlining, and coincidentally @thelilactime.bsky.social's first live album is released today on @needlemythology.bsky.social. Recorded in 2007, it's wonderful

It's impossible to overemphasise the importance of Bob Lamb in the musical life of Birmingham. If he'd lived in Manchester or Liverpool he would've had his own South Bank Show. He made the better Kiss Me and the first Lilac Time album. Eternally grateful and sending love xsd

Cass McCombs and Stephen Duffy do not live together, as they are separate musicians who are not known to be associated. Stephen Duffy is an English musician and the songwriter for The Lilac Time. Cass McCombs is an American musician who played in Bay Area bands in the 1990s before moving to NYC. #ai

The Lilac Time: LIVE from 2007 the night before we played The Green Man. It’s magical record, one of our best. I’ve worked hard to make it sound as much like a studio album as possible. Think of it as our Skull And Roses, The Last of the Red Hot Burritos or Get Your Ya Ya’s Out @burningshed.com

We’ve got two new albums that can be ordered today via Burning Shed. The remastered LFADITN sounds incredible thanks to Miles at Abbey Road. The live album is magical, one of our best. I tried to make it sound like a studio album. It’s our Skull And Roses! Thank you @needlemythology.bsky.social
