I've been lucky enough to have an early listening copy of Heavenly's brand new album (out at the end of February) and I honestly can't stop playing it. You're gonna love it, pop fans. 100%.

I'm no photographer but I took some festive-ish photos of some of my books to try and persuade people that they would make excellent Christmas presents. Because they really would. Especially if they are signed and dedicated to that special person in your life.

Tomorrow (6 Dec) is Small Business Saturday - and hopefully you have some money left over from splurging with the mesomorphic titans (Amaz*n etc, I'm looking at you) to support the small businesses that Amaz*n etc are squeezing out of existence.

Just a heads up - I'm doing my biweekly post office trip tomorrow, so if you're after any music fanzines, indie-pop books or histories of amazing women... please get your orders in swiftly. Thank you for not shopping on Amaz*n! www.janeduffus.com/shop

Another thing I've been mostly doing today is reading the excellent new fanzine – cleverly titled Zine Things Happen - by @janeduffus.bsky.social I'd seriously consider getting a copy if I were you (despite my being in it) www.janeduffus.com/shop/zinethi...

The good people of @monorailmusic.bsky.social in Glasgow now have Zine Things Happen in stock in their beautiful shop... If that's something you'd like to know. They've even made it a Staff Pick, which is jolly nice of them.

There's no other way to say this, but I've been asked to interview Blur's Dave Rowntree about his new photographic book on Sunday, Sunday 23 November. (Yes, the scare quotes around 'in conversation' worry me, too.)

International postage for the fanzine has been fixed and amended. And if it's not bloody right this time, well, I'm just going to come round to all your houses (even the houses in Greece and Singapore and Australia) and hand deliver the fanzines. Thank you!

It's been a long time since M|A|R|R|S had a number one smash hit single (38 years to be precise), but I'm pleased to see that someone in Yeovil is still committed to putting correctly styled M|A|R|R|S graffiti on gateposts.

Stealing the idea from someone else, I asked ChatGPT to put together everything it knew about me and create an 'action figure'. And here's what we ended up with. Of course, 'action' is not really the word I'd use to describe my writerly days spent faffing about on social media but... y'know.
