Yesterday we played Trophy Dark #TTRPG by Author @jesseross.com. Our group traveled too deep into the forest, made discoveries, and met poetic & disturbing ends. Today I played #TheZoneRPG by @raphdamico.bsky.social with @silliet.bsky.social @strangeworlder.bsky.social. We had a superb eve of co-creation, surreal events & a lot of Type 2 fun!

Also, the true horror were the dogs we made along the way.

The #ActualPlay video will be released later this year.

Watching some videos on old paleoart and a familiar name showed up: John Sibbick.

I didn't realise that the guy I knew best from illustrating the cover of Rogue Trader was also a massively influential artist of prehistoric animals. That is a fact that makes me smile.

Evocative, future-oriented, and in-universe poetry was perhaps the least expected thing for the teenage me to find in a video game manual. I was instantly hooked.

I don’t think a long book is even primarily about plot, or character, or any of the patterned information on its pages. A long book is practicing over time a way of being in the world. Reading even a very good summary is not the same as giving over some portion of your own life to that practice.

So today I learned that there were tie-in novels for THE DOLLARS TRILOGY that went beyond the movies and boy do they have some amazing titles.
In addition to A FISTUL OF DOLLARS, FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE and THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY... We have: THE DEVIL'S DOLLAR SIGN, A COFFIN FULL OF DOLLARS, BLOOD FOR A DIRTY DOLLAR, THE MILLION DOLLAR BLOODHUNT and A DOLLAR TO DIE FOR.

Did some actual play test recording in-person on Saturday. The footage and audio are usable, which makes the test super successful. Rough edits seem to work as well.
