Oh my GOD @jcsw.bsky.social informed me of this nightmare, I absolutely am losing my mind.
A social work journal published a whole special issue on how social justice, critical theory, post modernism, and teaching critical praxis in social work is destroying our field.
That’s it. It’s not April 1st. This is a real thing.

NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.
Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions

We keep us safe. And as such we can be noncompliant with ice or other state agents & tell them they can’t come into our homes, houses of worship, or businesses without a warrant.

Is anyone else just *not interested* in using AI for their writing? All accuracy and morality aside, I just don't want to. I want every last word I put on a page to have flowed out from my own body. Maybe I'm romanticizing it, but I just can't see it any other way.
