It's a shame more white men over 35 aren't yelling at them then. Get to work.
ICE seems to get completely flummoxed when they’re being yelled at by white men over 35. They kind of put their heads down and shuffle their feet. It’s like their kryptonite.

This thread is a work of art. Excellent use of the medium.
By now, asteroid 2026 Dreadstone has impacted the Indian Ocean, sparking a firestorm not seen on this planet since the K–Pg Extinction Event. Most people just want to be with their families. Here are three ways effective business leaders can leverage targeted KPIs to turn tragedy 😔 into triumph 💪

There’s a video I saw recently interviewing a guy at a Minnesota protest where the interviewer starts to ask “are you worried this could take us to a dark pla—“ and the guy explodes, “we’re already in the dark place! Look around! They’re murdering us! We’re already here!”

I’m sitting in my living room and I keep smelling petrichor. It’s not raining outside and the windows are closed (it’s 29° with a feel like of 11°)

Am…am I having a stroke?

Thread. [the shorthand about her that is often uplifted on social media always does her a disservice and also does Rosa Parks one too. Glad for this thread]
Friends, Claudette Colvin—the 15-year-old who refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus in March 1955 & joined the federal case against bus segregation that went to the Supreme Court — died today at age 86. But there are lots of myths and mis-impressions about her. A short corrective thread:

One of the harshest truths I’ve learned from studying psychology is how easily people can defend truly heinous behavior when they believe it’s necessary to protect their own group.

Look at the hundreds of people in that community in Minneapolis who ran TOWARDS the danger. Look at those who documented in their heads what happened so they could accurately recount it afterwards, look at those currently out protesting. Pay attention & do your part too.

Human brains feed off of negativity. Negative thoughts are easily digested and play in a loop in your mind all of the time. The reality, however, is that there is also A LOT OF GOOD happening every single minute. You have to do more work to pay attention to the good but it's worth it.

This is probably going to demand a depressing amount of repetition, but here goes.

If Renee Nicole Good was a childless foreign national, its still wasn't OK for a federal employee to straight up execute her. Begging everyone to not concede one inch of ground to this toxic framing.
The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, a US citizen and the mother of a small child.

It pains me when I see women journalists share their work prefaced by “I wrote a thing.”

I used to do that. I don’t do it anymore.

Don’t minimize or trivialize your own work.

There are enough men willing to do that for you.

Making art—real art, created from scratch in a way bots can't actually do—is far more accessible than it looks!

This is a great explainer of AI's issues and limitations to share with folks who enjoy making stuff, but who may need a gentle nudge away from problematic image, text or video generators.

He legit just pardoned the president of Honduras for drug trafficking but now Maduro is going to stand trial for “narco terrorism.” This all makes a lot of sense and definitely isn’t about oil.
Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Incredible. CBS Evening News announces five new “simple values” — instead of their “38-page handbook” — as they roll out Tony Dokoupil is lead anchor.

One of those values is simply: “We love America and make no apologies for saying so.”

Californians! You can now tell data brokers to delete your information on CA’s new DROP site. It was a little clunky yesterday and this morning but it seems like they’ve worked out most of the kinks (deletion doesn’t happen until Aug anyway) privacy.ca.gov/DROP/
Delete request and opt-out platform (DROP)
Protect your personal information. Data brokers collect, share, and sell your personal information. You can stop that from happening.
