One thing to understand about most “Disney Adults” is that the parks have only gotten more expensive and crowded while offering less ever since they reopened in 2020 so it doesn’t take that much more to make people stop going. And the theme park forums are rightfully pissed about Kimmel

Example: one aspect of community that has been lost is discussion groups. Y'all want people to read so bad, but then get mad when they miss the point of the text and bastardize it (which obviously they'll do! Literacy! Rates! Are! Abysmal!). Critical thinking is cultivated, it's not intrinsic.

And they really can't grasp it. Everything we could have, we can't, because you and your people would rather live in squalor then give Black people any type of decency.

Increasingly convinced the main damage cell phones have done to creativity isn't decreased attention spans or what not but the elimination of productive boredom. Inspiration comes from the mind filling the void inside. Hard to make art when you're constantly silencing the silence with "content."

Water privatisation has been a complete & utter failure.

It is absurd that the government's report into the water industry didn't even consider public ownership.

That's not a report. That's a political broadcast for the private sector.

Put water back into public hands, now.

We just went through a half-decade of sham censorship hearings in Congress, but it certainly seems like the government forced a comedian to get fired as a bribe to ensure a merger goes through.

Is that true? Let's have a hearing and find out.
I think like many, many people I find the idea that CBS has just cancelled Colbert out of the blue like this for financial reasons *highly* implausible. He’s the most viewed late night host on TV, and his ratings have been going up.
