What do you think about the law they’re pushing through that removes tenure as an option for professors, and gives the govt the right to take it away (specifically mentioning for disability, for good measure)?

I want to say this too: this victory was won because we had observers EVERYWHERE. ICE and CBP couldn't set foot in our city without cameras rolling. Much of the nation seemed determined to ignore our plight for weeks, but the avalanche of documentation we produced dragged the nation to us.

Hot take-the US has been in a cold civil war for over 10 years. And the government is murdering people because they want an active war. They want their followers fighting neighbors, or a visible foreign enemy (soon). And will continue supporting it with the ‘state media’ infrastructure they’ve made.

We should do this starting now no matter what. All the systems the government took away with as much chaos as possible need to be replaced asap.
And the structure of this could help insulate our communities from the government.

we should definitely tear down ICE and then replace it. maybe with some nice community centers or something. social workers, immigration attorneys. you're allowed to do stuff that's good and helps people. it doesn't have to always be gun guys. you have so many different kinds of gun guy already

“Growing number of Republicans” is a phrase I see a lot these days that means absolutely nothing.
“Just hang on, they’re coming around. They want investigations” by known liars.
Feels like they intentionally screwed ed policy for the last 30 years so we wouldn’t see thru this BS.

To those blaming Walz for not mobilizing the Guard, he did that six days ago. I have to say it's disturbing to see people angry at Walz instead of the government agents that just executed a man. As though we should all be experts about what to do when a secret police force invades an American city.

Crazy thought - if our power grids were all renewables and built on modular, localized systems, we’d have fewer outages and lower costs.
