Nothing says Valentine's Day in Winnipeg like some heart-shaped pizzas from Pizza Hotline with the Mrs. and the kids 💘🍕

The Winnipeg Wesmen are moving on to the Canada West MBB semis after beating Calgary, while the Bisons are done after losing to UBC last night.

I honestly thought this would be the year that the vet-laden Bison team would make a real run, but it was another early playoff exit for The Herd... 🦬🏀

The ‘Arc de Trump’ | About That

Andrew Chang explains why U.S. President Donald Trump wants to build a 250-foot-high 'Independence Arch' in Washington, D.C., and why it’s under heavy scrutiny.

It's nice to see the MJHL back on local TV... Great work by the Niverville Nighthawks in pulling that off.

Remember when trump said he would destroy air travel in North America by decertifying every Canadian plane? And then we never heard anything about it?

If his brain wasn't turned to mashed potato, it would be a 5-alarms fire. Now no one remembers about it and it wasn't even 2 weeks ago.

The idea that there are still Jets fans left who don't think the team should be tanking is hard to process.

Every measly OTL point gets them farther away from the best possible outcome left for this season.

So I went to WPW/WSO Brawl at the Hall last night at Centennial Concert Hall. You wouldn't think that pro wrestling and symphony would mix, but they did.

Packed house, hot crowd, great music, awesome action. It was a show to remember. #Winnipeg

Went to a couple of local MJHL games on the weekend. Winnipeg Blues and Monarchs. Sad what became of the Blues -- the Monarchs have always been that way.

The kids are trying hard but just can't compete. No fans, no sponsors, just parents paying full freight for the kids to get stomped every night.

Interesting CBC story that touches on Canada's digital dependence on the US. I would imagine that the EU has the best chance to develop a viable alternative to the US and Chinese big tech firms.

Not surprised to hear about Paul Brandt's shenanigans. Once he revealed himself to be an antivaxxer, Alberta separatism wasn't much of a leap. He doesn't seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Here's how the media should deal with Taco Don.
Could we perhaps dispense with all headlines that begin with "Trump threatens..."?
It would be easier to come up with a list of things he HASN'T threatened. At this point, these stories are irrelevant. Stick to what this monster actually DOES, and even that he will undo in 3 days.

A reminder that Bessent is supposed to be one of the more normal ones around Trump.

I would take this as a clear sign the WH is open to (or even keen on) interference in any AB election or referendum.
Bessent pushes Albertan independence from Canada: "Albertans are very independent people. There's a rumor they may have a referendum on whether they want to stay in Canada or not. People are talking. People want sovereignty. They want what the US has got."
