The villain of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms can't understand why our hero would put his life on the line to save a stranger. Men like him never will understand it. (gift link, and yes I know about the byline)

Every company I've ever worked for: Please do 200 hours of conflict of interest training on why you can't accept any gifts, not even a cup of coffee.

Every government official I can see: Which billionaire wants to shove money in my pants for influence? Wheeee!!

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Catherine O'Hara spent decades best known to comedy fanatics, Canadians and "Home Alone" fans who couldn't remember her actual name, but she spent the past decade utterly worshipped in the collective and mainstream consciousness as she deserved to be. She was fully appreciated. And that's good. #RIP

my son is five, same age as Liam Ramos. you don't need to have a child the same age to be fucking horrified by the violence we are doing (and HAVE BEEN doing) upon immigrant children in this nation. but that he keeps asking for his spidey backpack is the kind of detail that rips my heart in two.

I love this.
An unidentified man dressed in a Batman costume angrily confronted Santa Clara city officials during a joint meeting of the City Council, city authorities, and the Santa Clara Stadium Authority on Monday, using his public comment to condemn the city’s stance on cooperation with ICE.

Some colleagues pointed out today what a shame it is that more indie comics aren’t included on library awards lists, likely due to the fact they aren’t as widely available.

One of the Comics Library Commons’ goals will be to fix that.
