Fire and Ice. Sunrise this morning in Glastonbury.
It was a bit slippery in parts going up Glastonbury Tor today at sunrise. Once up there though it was such a beautiful morning. The view through the archway of St Michael's tower shortly before the sun rose.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone. Photo taken this morning in Glastonbury, about half an hour after sunrise. It started off very grey and windy on my walk this morning up Glastonbury Tor but I just happened to be walking along the lane when the light broke through.

Happy Winter Solstice. The mists returned to Avalon as we celebrated the return of the light on the shortest day. Tomorrow daylight hours begin to lengthen. It was a beautiful morning on Glastonbury Tor.

It took a little while this morning for some colour to appear but we got there in the end. Sunrise on Glastonbury Tor. Bitterly cold and windy up there as we approach Winter Solstice tomorrow.

You still have time if you still want a calendar or any other gifts before Christmas. Last date for second class is today. Generally I only include for second class postage to minimise costs but first class is an option.

Red Dawn. This photo was taken about an hour and a quarter before sunrise.
I lost a bit of clarity sadly as it was handheld and very high ISO so not the best image I have ever taken but I was blown away by the intensity of the colour so early in the morning.
