I’m of the firm belief that police and militia members have been quietly running right wing death squads in the US for years. The fate of the most notable Ferguson protestors is the most blatant example of it. ICE in 2025-26 is simply the same people operating in public.

It really does seem like there's a decent chance that these senators screwed us because they don't want their personal Thanksgiving plans to be disrupted.
Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

in some ways, i respect these 8 for the moxie. unlike their sniveling peerage, they at least had the commitment to their own craven selfishness enough to put their names to it. it's not much, but still a stiffer spine than their colleagues mustered - even as said coworkers sold us upriver anyway.
Schumer's caucus is unified behind the deal Schumer orchestrated. These 8 are just the ones willing to take the heat for the rest of the caucus.
