Wow this is amazing
Tucson AZ regulated light because of all the astronomical instillations nearby. Not sure what it’s like now, but nice to experience in the 1980s.

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

Imagine if tech companies felt obligated to create good products for their customers/users
Meta earns $3.5 billion every six months from showing Faceboon and Instagram users 15 billion “higher legal risk” scam ad impressions a day, internal documents state.

That haul vastly exceeds how much the company expects regulators
To fine it for running scam ads.

Right now, I’m looking for contract/pt work since I have another really huge “project” in the works right now🤭

If you know of any contract/pt roles in dev marketing, technical writing, or dev education, please send them my way!

Please repost and boost!💜💜

David and Larry Ellisons’ sloptastic vision for Hollywood is coming into focus:

“Paramount has reportedly signed a $200M+ multiyear deal for Higgsfield AI to use mass-use Popcorn AI model that ingests dailies and script notes, then outputs regional cuts: new leads, alternate jokes, revised endings”

I predict the ballroom will be tastefully architected and won’t look like a monstrosity in the massive void where the east wing was

I find myself debating whether I upgrade to an M5 and give money to a company that donated to build the Epstein Ballroom and also can’t design a UI worth a crap

Or try Linux on desktop for the first time in many years

Or just keep what I’ve got now (M1 with 16gb ram)

Might we evaluate the fitness of a future senator by their judgement? Even if every excuse were true, keeping a nazi tattoo shows a staggering lack of judgement.

I've been bedridden for the last 10 months for medical reasons, and I'm still about 1000$ behind on being able to pay for my car and storage. I'm sorry to keep asking, but if you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help.

Basically, if these companies are successful at paying back their investments, they'll need to harvest double-digit percentages of every Western worker's paycheque. And if not, well, this is going to happen as the hardware depreciates faster than it's generating ROI: pracap.com/an-ai-addend...
An AI Addendum
Last month, I chose to strip away all the hubris around AI and ask one simple question, one that oddly no one had really bothered to ask; how much revenue is needed to justify the current level of cap...

I like how they gave the Nobel Prize to someone fighting for democracy in Venezuela, instead of someone sinking fishing boats off their coast.

“Art is no longer Swift’s priority, if it ever was. We don’t have to approach and criticize this album as art, because it isn’t art. The Life of a Showgirl is made of Shein quality rip-offs of other people’s songs that are constructed shoddily and sold in ginormous quantities.”

Fatality
Ever since my daughter got excited about "supporting" Taylor Swift by buying "Taylor's Version" albums, I've wanted to write something like what @mckinneykelsey.bsky.social did so brilliantly here. Spot on. Swift is the embodiment of capitalist realism.

I guess i need to rtfm, because I don’t see why the bluesky app wouldn’t let you pull posts from another app view
TL; DR
In the next 5 business days you should be able to go to Link's page on blacksky.community and see his posts and he'll be able to post but people using the bsky mobile apps won't see it.
After that we'll get Blacksky-only posts up.
After that we can talk about purging bsky mod tools
