AND supporting your local library is super important! If you actually DO want books to be available to everyone, the library *already exists* and is staffed by the people who are deep in the trenches of fighting censorship! Supporting the library is doing actual good for your community!
TAPS SCREEN

For like the zillionth time: Libraries are FREE for you, but WE still get compensated for our work!!
Just saw someone claim that authors who want to be paid for their work are "class traitors" because we "only let the wealthy" read our books, and I think I need to go into the woods to scream into the night for a bit.

It's $5, not your first-born child! I need that $5 for health insurance!

I love being at a point in my life where I can tell an artist I'm commissioning something from, "Your price is too low. I'm not looking for a deal - I'm looking for a fair price for your time and skill."

Even over the internet, you can FEEL the tension draining out of them as they reset.

unfun fact: a lot of queer creatives are broke as shattered windows, and piracy doesn't help

Re: James Carville

I really don't care if he's giving the right message *this* time - can we please stop going to the 80 + year old for his "hot takes" on the state of our country?

Isn't that part of the reason we're in this mess?

I know I can't be the only one creeped out by that phrasing. All obvious issues aside, for me to "honor" my country, doesn't it first need to be worthy of honor?

It sums up everything about this administration that my first thought was wondering when the last time the "Chasing Ghosts" episode of NCIS: New Orleans aired on a channel Hegeseth could have had access to?
Hegseth is now threatening to recall Sen. Mark Kelly to active duty in order to court martial him.

Went down a vocal rabbit hole on YT this morning, watching vocal coaches, rappers and opera singers reacting to KPOP Demon Hunters songs. In the midst of it I read some comments from KPOP fans giving backstory on EJAE (Rumi's singing voice and writer or co-writer on most of the songs). (1/2)

The malwarebytes Google opting-your-emails-into-ai-training thing is not true. The post is based on one bad tweet.
