Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

This is a good overview of why I withdrew from 4 of their future signings. I have a diverse group of readers. They are wonderful. I would never ask them to go to an event where they don't feel safe and equally respected. And I won't support denialism of human rights atrocities that are occurring.

I scope patients regularly, over 2000 cases in my career thus far. Did 14 cases earlier this week. (That's a lot of butts, yo, and yes I'm tired.)
One recent case was a 44 y/o whose doctor implored them to get checked bc the patient noted some bleeding and said it was "probably" hemorrhoids...

I'll never win on volume because it takes time to actually ... WRITE A BOOK. It takes development of characters, motivations, scenarios, & saying common things in an uncommon way. Maybe I can only put out a couple books per year, but at least they are all created from my unique brain and not stolen.

Editing in the airport FTW today. Deep revision of 2 chapters during a 4 hour layover. I'm calling it time well spent.
I don't know what it is about airports, but it's almost worth booking a cheap flight somewhere w/ a 6-hr layover to edit, and then back home
