Compare and contrast this deeply sick Stephen Miller tweet (left) with the rhetoric that was used on people like his ancestors when they immigrated to the United States (right):

as @howardtayler.bsky.social said, "The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's enemy. No more. No less."
The enemy of my enemy is not, in fact, actually prevented from shooting at me.

Weird how that works.
“But the enemy of my enemy is—“ shhhh. No. No they aren’t. Stop.

This is MTG'w bill. She personally authored. It's happening now, not in the past.

Spare me her redemption arc.

This administration will do anything to stop Congress from uncovering the truth about its lawlessness.

@replamonica.bsky.social is an important voice in the fight for truth and transparency; it should not be silenced.
Today I filed notice of appeal in my case.

From the beginning, I’ve fought back against this administration’s cruelty and attempts to silence dissent—this appeal is the next step in the fight.

I can't believe the voters gave this guy control again. It's a self-own for the ages. And a curse upon all humanity.

I remember him refusing so many job offers because they didn't want people of color in their ads
And because of that he was basically an artistic renegade compared to the racist norm of the time

The MAGAfication of Norman Rockwell
Trump uses the artist’s work—like other cultural icons—to promote Gestapo tactics and nativist ideas.

One violent act by one perpetrator. Then suddenly an entire group is declared the enemy. If it feels like MAGA treats every tragedy as proof that “the left” or any out-group is inherently dangerous, you’re not imagining it. thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p/trump-maga...

This is the 7th person whose sentence was commuted by Trump that has been rearrested on new charges. And don't pretend Trump cares about fraud in MN. This guy bilked over a $1 billion and Trump let him go.

If only Americans had a recent way to know how crucial immigrants were for the success of the Manhattan Project. A big Hollywood movie where a lot of the nuclear scientist characters speak with accents and talk about fleeing Europe that makes tons of money and wins a bunch of Oscars, perhaps.
Immigrant-hating Stephen Miller talks about Americans being "first to harness the atom." But the first controlled, self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction was conducted by a team led by Italian immigrant Enrico Fermi, who didn't become a U.S. citizen until a year and a half later.

something very important for Dems to realize is that the tech overlords are not people you can win back by promising a lighter touch and saying a few nice things

they’ve gotten a taste of mask-off fascism and they are not going back, they don’t want to play nice with the peons anymore
There’s a funny Politico story showing that the latest polling on AI shows 80-20 in favor of heavy regulations, an absolute slam dunk platform, but Dems are worried about not winning back mask-off tech CEO donors
