Here's a fresh look at my new graphic memoir, IT RHYMES WITH TAKEI!

For the first time, I'll share the full story of my 68 years in the closet, my decision to come out and join the fight for LGBTQ rights, and how that moment changed everything.

Go see 1536 because I can’t!
Absolutely encourage any early modernists in London to see 1536 at the Almeida if you’re able — with some understandable and easily forgivable hiccups, it is a thoughtful and passionate engagement with how misogyny operated in the early mod. period and how we have inherited that poisonous legacy

9 Weeks. So they want to keep her on life support for another 27+ weeks?

This is.. seriously, like Bene Tleilax Axlotl tanks. It's absolutely horrific.
The state of Georgia is keeping a deceased Black woman’s corpse hooked up to machines against her family’s wishes because she was 9 weeks pregnant and they cannot let them shut off the machines b/c it violates their anti-abortion laws

“ITS TORTURE,” says her family

Family says woman declared brain dead but her pregnancy continues under state law
Adriana Smith's been on life support 90+ days with weeks to go in her pregnancy. Her family questions Georgia’s heartbeat law — and why they had no say in her care.

ICE pretended to arrest a 21 yo in order to force her to call her undocumented mother to come leave the house (where she was safe from ICE arrest) to care for her baby. When the mother came, she was abducted and the daughter was suddenly of no interest to ICE.

last thing for the day before I log OFF but i keep thinking about the (bad) argument that genAI is good for disabled people, but ime true accommodations for disability are external. I don't need a tool to make me go faster; I need a society that gives me space to go slower.

In response, NYU is withholding their diploma + apologizing to the community for the trauma the audience was “subjected to.”

It’s almost as if effective advocacy and leadership, whether for good or evil, can shape public opinion, and it’s possible to work to frame issues instead of passively responding to the way the opposition frames them and accepting their characterization of what is “moderate.”
Rare for a public poll, we did a survey experiment to test whether priming respondents about the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia impacts support for Trump's broader immigration agenda. It does. Support for blanket deportations fell 20 points after hearing about Garcia's case.

My feeling about any corporations using AI in place of creative work by human beings is the executives and promoters and enablers who foisted this on us should be driven out and never work in those industries again.

International students are seeing their records terminated and visas revoked across Minnesota: www.mprnews.org/story/2025/0...

Basically: ICE deletes the record in SEVIS, and then uses that deletion as a basis to claim the student's visa should be terminated and the student deported.
Visas revoked, records terminated for more students at U of M, MSU Mankato
University staff ran a status check and found that the Department of Homeland Security had terminated the students' records without notifying the university.

February’s too short, so each day in March, a C21 book on Black histories. The reason Jennifer L. Morgan’s Reckoning with Slavery won such praise? It is *that* good. Early enslaved women’s lives, capitalism, the Middle Passage: required reading on so many issues. www.dukeupress.edu/reckoning-wi...

Cet ouvrage sur la fluidité de genre au Moyen Âge s'était attiré la moquerie de la droite française, spécialement de MBC qui ne l'avait évidemment pas lu.

Can I not leave you lot unsupervised for a few days?!?!
