Very, very bad news for the futures of our hospitals in NEPA. Geisinger is poised to be the only game in town in a year or two.
Commonwealth Health System and Tenor Health Foundation on Friday signed a purchase agreement for the sale of Commonwealth's three NEPA hospitals. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year, subject to funding and regulatory review.

Not exactly apples to apples (season opener vs late season game), but listen to how you can hear the guys on the floor, the bouncing of the ball, the soft swish of the net from Jordan’s jumper. TNT knew how to mic a basketball game.

I think the sound mixing sounds a bit muddled. Not sure if it’s the crowd being so amped and loud or what, but you can find a ton of late 1990’s NBA games on YouTube that sound much better than this.

The laser-Peacock and transition from SD to HD is, indeed, incredible. Definitely missing the “narrative” aspect for the intros from the 90’s. That’s part of what Marv and Bob Costas did so well to set the scene. Hopefully they can incorporate that as we get further in.

I’m going to add to the discourse by saying that, given the name of the album and the overall theme through all the pictures and marketing…I dunno, I expected songs with big, sweeping, show-stopping movements. Like “Show Must Go On” or The Wall-type grandeur. She didn’t really do that.

I’m trying to be reasonable and give grace to grieving fans after a brutal loss…but I think people like this should be banned from sporting events.
